Have you ever imagined what would you really do if you were not working the typical 9 – 5 job that you do not even like?
Are you determined to discover your true passion so that you not only enjoy what you are doing, but also achieve success in it?
If you have answered both the above questions with a “YES”, then this article can be your guide.
Doing what you love is not easy when you have to take care of your family, pay off a mortgage and do several other things but if you do not work towards your dreams, you are never going to know what you could have achieved. On the other hand, if you have your own business, you might not be doing what you wanted to, and therefore you are not getting the results that you had expected.
Often, the purpose behind starting a business is to be your own boss and work to your strengths to deliver what people will accept with open-arms. However, along the way, we often switch to moneymaking mode and fail to articulate our vision into products that our customers will understand.
We all have inspirations that lead to an idea, which if translated correctly turns into a profitable business, however one of the most important things to focus on after a business is functional is ‘communication’. Communication is a strong factor when we need to make a sale. Cliché statements may not be the best way to do this.
For example, statements or taglines like “Buy one, get one free” fail to mention what customers really want from the product. Another example is “Get more for the same price” which fails to address a particular need or want that will be satisfied after the purchase.
You need to make sure that the reason you got inspired to come up with the winning idea is easily understood by your target audience as well. For this you need to focus less on giving your audience a money-saving perspective (which is also important), and more on taking them on a journey from a ‘before’ state to an ‘after’ state. Moreover, the trend these days is to make your communication more visual than verbal, so if you use pictures then it would become easier for your audience to get the message that you are communicating. Furthermore, a part of your strategy should also focus on your audience’s or customers’ emotions and daily routines to make them realize how your product would benefit them.
Ultimately, when you have effectively communicated your message, not only your customers who have found satisfaction in the ‘after’ state, but also you will enjoy an elevated (wealthier) status.
